ISRG Research Opportunities

Research to MPhil and PhD by Advanced Project

Basically, a candidate for a research degree qualification (MPhil and PhD) by this route must undertake an advanced, in-depth project on a topic that is relevant to the interests of the supervisors. Naturally, this project must fall within an area for which the supervision team is adequately qualified to supervise. The candidate would therefore normally negotiate with the supervision team with respect to agreeing a suitable research project, plan of work and dissertation title.

Normally, MPhil and PhD research programmes can take from two to five years to complete depending upon the mode of study (part-time or full-time). The mode of study will also influence the nature of the tuition fees that a student will need to pay.

Further administrative details relating to registering for a research programme for a higher degree can be obtained from the School of Computing and Mathematics at the University of Teesside. In the first instance, candidates should ask for further details to be sent to them. These can be obtained from the School’s Research Administrator - Emma Howden (e.howden@tees.ac.uk).
