  • Extensions to mirror arms - available from the continent, made to order, for a better view of what's following you
  • Upgrade the headlight bulb - Osram Nightbreaker is a popular option, others include Phillips and Ring
NT700
  • Touring screen - Puig
  • HID headlight conversions - available from www.hids4u.co.uk
DIY modifications
  • Drop the yokes 9mm down the front forks (for the vertically challenged)
  • Extend the rear mudguard at the front to protect the lower rear suspension mount
  • Replace a rotting or bashed exhaust system with an aftermarket one - Motad or Predator the most common choice
  • Upgrade the battery to a YTZ14S from Varta or Yausa
  • Fit power sockets for those essential accessories
  • Fit washable air filter - K & N the most popular choice
  • Replace faulty fuel pump using Facet alternative
  • Drain & replace front fork oil using slightly heavier weight oil exactly measured
  • Fit Trailer towing hook - for those that tour with the kitchen sink
