My Biking history & Bikes I have owned:-
1963 – first ride on back of granddad’s C90
1965 – father get a pedal enhanced moped
1967 – father gives me the moped for “off road” use only
1969 – father sells the moped when we move home
1972 – buy and run a Lambretta GP125 scooter
1973 – pass driving test, buy and run a Bond 875 van (as well as the scooter)
1974 – write off the Bond
1976 – p/ex scooter for Suzuki GT250M (Ram Air)
1977 – pass bike test
1979 – p/ex Suzuki for Honda 400/4 F1
1982 – sell 400/4, buy a number of boxes and build a Honda T360 based special from the ground up, run and sell
1983 – buy Honda CF70 Chaley (before monkeybikes became fashionable) as non-runner, restore, ride, sell-off
1983 – November sees me getting a mortgage and Chrysler Alpine (cheap), no money for bike
1984 – marry, no time for building a bike
2001 – bus lanes introduced on my Derby/Nottingham commute route – I get Yamaha XV535 Virago
2003 – p/ex Virago for 1984 Yamaha XJ900F
2005 – sell XJ and buy 2000 Triumph Sprint ST 955i at end of January - for more on my ST Sprint Click here
2005 – October, p/ex Sprint for 650 Deauville.....

Honda CBX 1000 - a 6 cylinder monster of a bike that was a pussycat to ride

Kawasaki Z500 & a H2 750 triple (the H2 as pillion only, that was scarey enough)
Suzuki GT550 Ram Air & a GT750 (a beautiful & under-rated motorcycle)
Triumph 650 Bonneville (circa 1977 - both a standard and a Jubilee limited edition)
