We took the high level "Alpine Variant" which was very much worth the effort - amongst the high lights of my trip. We had a well deserved pizza at Bavella before going on to the eccentric Refuge Paliri. This was the ONLY refuge that we stopped at that didn't do food and we ate our only self cooked meal.
