The Seekers

The Seeker's Group is a lively discussion group which meets monthly in people's homes. It is a friendly group, made up of both 'long time' members of Marple / Ridge / Jubilee Methodist Churches and others who have joined recently.

Member's select and present themes for discussion. Recently we have used an 'Explorations into Discipleship' book and have discussed topics such as: Why Jesus? (and not Buddha, Mohamed etc.) What do we want out of life? (Wealth? status? Fair play?) How Jesus threatens the powers? (and how we challenge current powers). We encourage and respect honest expressions of belief and welcome new members.
