24RP2: The Summary

A deadly virus is held in LA and will be released within 24 hours. With apparent help from two former employees, CTU try to find it before it can be used and before other terrorist groups can get hold of it. The Presidency has its own problems to deal with, seemingly uninvolved with the virus threat. Events escalate and affairs abound until everything comes to a head and the masterminds are revealed.

Between Seasons:

George Mason leaves CTU and marries Nina Myers and they have a son together, healing George’s emotional wounds from killing his own son last season.

David Palmer and Kim Bauer break up, the details unknown, but Kim doesn’t cope with it well and it seems to have left her rather confused with life while she starts to work for CTU. David seems to have forgotten all about Kim and continues a strong Presidency, hiring his brother, Wayne Palmer, to replace the deceased Mike Novick as his Chief of Staff. Sherry Palmer lays low, hiding in a convent and finding her true self and ideals again, apparently returning to good. She had kept her sister Alberta alive, but they don’t speak much now.

Tony Almeida had left CTU to start a new life with Aunt Carol, but things don’t work out and he returns as Director of Operations at CTU. Michelle Dessler had fallen in love with Gary Matheson, but their relationship falters and Michelle finally finds love with Tony, who she then marries. Michelle gains eyes for other men when Tony gains eyes only for food. An emotionally-scarred Gary turns to a life of crime to try and ease his pain.

Marie Warner is found to be alive, having faked her own death in an attempt to evade her former fiancé. She is arrested for her terrorist involvements and sent to a maximum security prison, where the loss of the love of her life sends her a little crazy. Kate Warner is also found to be alive as well; it seems George isn’t as good a shot as he thought. The trauma of her lover’s death and being shot last season seems to have left Kate with amnesia regarding those events, and she evades justice to start a new relationship with Jack Bauer before getting dumped and turning to comfort foods. This forms a major rift between Kate and Marie, along with other things. Bob Warner loses touch with both daughters after the events of last season and starts to blame George Mason for how things turned out. He devotes all his time and energy on devising a plan to get revenge on George.

This Season:

Tony Almeida: Head of CTU. Struggles to stop eating long enough to give orders and departs to follow Marie Warner. Tony’s chopper is shot down and he has an emergency landing on the building where Claudia is held captive. He finds CTU Agent Alex Guevera there. Tony goes after Marie again, gaining information from an old friend, Lulu the Hooker, about Marie contacting Claudia. He rescues Kim, and the pair interrogate her attacker - Gary Matheson. Kim makes a successful pass at Tony and the pair head to bed, forgetting the interrogation. He finds out Gary works for Trepkos, then Kingsley’s men turn up and take Gary by force. Tony chases them and finds Jace’s cellphone, which he takes back to CTU where he is attacked by Jack for sleeping with Jack’s daughter. Tony then catches Jack sleeping with his wife. Tony calms down and helps Jack when he finds the location of the virus - in the LA Coliseum. Tony helps chase Marie and calm down the situation before returning to CTU where Kim kisses him again. Michelle walks in and tells Tony the marriage is over. Tony’s cholesterol level takes its toll and he has a heart attack.

George Mason: Married to Nina, now works as an assassin. Realises his son, Zevairus, is missing and heads to CTU to use their systems to find him. Has sex with Chloe whilst at CTU then sets about finding information and useful equipment to “borrow”. George follows several leads from Nina until he finds a special babysitter has been hired at a certain address. George heads there, but is booked for drink driving on the way. Lies to Wayne Palmer get him out of jail and he continues. George arrives at the house, shoots his way in and finds his son, but is captured himself. Bob Warner reveals himself as behind the whole plan as revenge for George’s actions in the past. George is mentally tortured, but Nina soon rescues him and he kills Bob. George then heads home with his family. George is soon woken with a high-paying job offer to kill Jack Bauer. George’s preparations are delayed when he is forced to find intel for Wayne, but his intel is useless and a frustrated Wayne tells him not to bother so George arranges a meeting with Jack. They finally meet and George apologises, before raising his gun ready to shoot Jack.

Nina Myers: Now married to George, works as a freelance terrorist. Her son goes missing so Nina follows some leads to find Ted Danski who will have information. Nina passes information from Ted to George and heads to Palmer with Jack upon hearing that David has hired a sniper to kill her. Nina confronts David and is told she can live if she kills her assassin, Christina Parker, so she heads to the Peach Pit. Nina arrives and is ambushed and tortured for information. Jack arrives and saves Nina, who wants Christina kept alive so she can be taken directly to the President. David gives Nina the go ahead to kill Christina, so Nina takes Christina out into the woods and shoots her. Nina then heads to George’s location only to find him captive with their son, so she gets Chloe and some men to come help her. They storm the building and rescue George and her son, and she then tortures Bob Warner before watching him die. Nina is informed of George having sex with Chloe and reacts angrily. Nina hits Chloe and forgives George and the family head home to rest. Nina is soon woken with a job offer which cannot be turned down and she takes her son to his babysitter and heads off to kill Ryan Chappelle. Nina shoots Chappelle and leaves, but her tyre bursts on the way home and she is confronted by a very angry Chloe, who had a child with Chappelle. Nina is badly beaten but manages to kill Chloe. She is patched up at hospital and collects her son from the babysitter before heading home.

Jack Bauer is Head of Field Ops at CTU and follows up on a lead regarding Marie Warner, who is believed to be involved in the virus threat. He leaves Chase to follow the lead while he goes to help Nina get close to President Palmer. He then saves Nina from Christina at the Peach Pit and takes her to a hospital. He hears of the takeover of CTU but decides it can wait while he catches up with Nina over coffee, and he seems to be getting rather fond of her. Nina gets bored and leaves Jack so he heads to CTU, sneaking in unnoticed and finding Michelle in the bathroom, where the pair indulge in secret passions whilst hiding from terrorists present at CTU. He reveals his presence once the terrorists are gone and attacks Tony on discovering that he has slept with Kim. Baker stops the attack, but Jack is still very angry with Tony. Jack decides to get his own back by sleeping with Michelle, and he hides with her. Jack then realises the severity of the virus threat and so gets back to work. He finds the location of the virus and awaits backup, but meets a mysterious Russian named Derevko who asks for help stopping Valentin Zukovsky – the man with the virus. Jack agrees, Tony and Baker arrive and the group and their men set to work, soon joined by Mia Guevera. They find Valentin’s location and follow him into the LA Coliseum. Inside, Jack finds Hafiz and sees him and Kate shot. Jack holds Kate as she dies, then vents his rage on Marie, killing her brutally. Jack then spots Valentin and captures him after a fight, trying to find out who he was working for. Valentin won’t talk and is about to stab Jack when Derevko appears and shoots him. Jack then returns to CTU to reproach Kim and finds Claudia acting suspiciously in the IT room. He realises she is a traitor, and finds that she was working for Valentin and kills her. Jack goes to meet George as arranged where he is told that Nina was the one who killed Chappelle, before George raises his gun ready to shoot him.

David Palmer is being blackmailed by an ex-lover Christina Parker, currently an assassin, and he has annoyed the KKK recently over his interference in a court case which ended badly for all parties concerned. Nina Myers appears and confronts him about hiring Christina Parker to kill her, he explains all and Nina heads off to kill Christina, but David calls and warns her, still caring for her. David then starts his televised debate with his Presidential Opponent, but is flabbergasted upon the public revelation of his former relationship with Christina Parker. After the debate, David is leaving the hotel when he is shot several times. Fortunately he survives, thanks to his doctor and ‘close friend’ Caroline Fraser. Nina arrives at the hospital with Christina and David gives Nina permission to kill her before having one last goodbye to a woman he used to love and has now condemned. Dr Caroline enters when the room is empty and confesses her love to David. The pair consummate these feelings on a hospital bed. Classy lady. Afterwards, David is told by Wayne of Sherry’s death and is distraught. He has a meeting with his Secretary of State, Attorney General, and Secretary to the Treasury, who attempt to dictate his decisions on the KKK issue with the threat of mutiny in the cabinet, so David fires them. David is cheerful when Sherry is revealed as alive, but less so when he hears of Vice-President Prescott’s plotting. He interrogates Prescott and is horrified to hear he was plotting with the KKK to remove David from Office. David offers Sherry the Vice-Presidency to ensure Prescott has no power, but is horrified again when he finds his daughter has been kidnapped by the KKK and he is told to resign if he wants her back. David orders in Hostage Rescue, but Nicole dies in the attempt and David collapses. David recovers quickly, and pays Prescott an unhappy visit. Depressed, he then attempts suicide, but is stopped by Dr Caroline who tricks him out of it.

Sherry Palmer returns after an absence in David’s life to help sort out the Christina Parker situation, as well as one involving the Defence Secretary, and calls her sister, Alberta Green for information on Christina Parker. Sherry finds herself tailed and is kidnapped by Christina’s people and taken to the Peach Pit on Alex Trepkos’ orders. She tells Christina that Alberta is after her, worrying Christina immensely. When Nina arrives, Sherry uses the distraction and some mini-grenades to escape and downloads sensitive files from Christina’s laptop before exiting to the safety of Secret Service who take her back to David. David sends Sherry to investigate Defence Secretary Peterson while he recovers from an assassination attempt. Sherry and Alberta interrogate Christina at a police station on the way. Christina tells Sherry everything in return for a cyanide capsule, but Sherry double-crosses her and gives her an M&M instead. Sherry watches Peterson’s clandestine meeting with Prescott at the LA Coliseum, hearing them plotting and mention that she is a threat to their plans, so Sherry fakes her death to prevent them trying to kill her, puts on a disguise and heads to David. Revealing herself to the Palmers as alive, Sherry sees she has competition for David in Dr Caroline and shows her who is top dog before turning her attention back to solving David’s problems, now with the assistance of Wayne’s ex-wife, Faith. Sherry is shocked when David offers her the position of Vice-President and accepts, with Faith being out in the field for her now. Sherry hears her daughter Nicole has been kidnapped and sends Faith to find her, while Sherry tortures Prescott for info and revenge and finds that Trepkos was behind the plan. Sherry follows the rescue attempt for her daughter and is distraught when Nicole is killed. A heart to heart with Wayne helps strengthen her resolve and Sherry turns fighter again, determined to defeat Trepkos, the man who had used her when she secretly worked for the CIA. She takes her first Press Conference, then meets up with Faith to track Trepkos courtesy of Freddie Lee’s phone, meeting Trepkos at his cottage while Faith calls backup to arrest Trepkos. Sherry tells him it is over for him, chops off his gun hand, and leaves him for the cops to deal with.

Michelle Dessler works at CTU. Married to Tony, but lusting after Jack, Michelle finds a shocking file about Jack. CTU is taken over and Michelle is trapped in a room with her staff. She escapes to the bathroom where she finds Jack and indulges in matters of a carnal nature. In an intermission Michelle hears Tony’s affair over the phone and flees with Jack once CTU is freed to continue their affair in private until Jack decides to get back to work. Feeling spurned, Michelle turns her attention to Agent Baker instead, only to find Kim a rival. Michelle knocks Kim out and has her way with Baker on his office floor. Michelle then tries to help with the virus threat, until Kim holds a gun to her head and orders that Jack and Tony return. Michelle gets them back and is relieved when the gun is lowered. Michelle is less happy when she then walks in on Kim and Tony kissing, Michelle tells Tony that their marriage is over and walks out.

Kim Bauer works at CTU and can do IT stuff, but is treated like a moron by her co-workers as her dad Jack got her the job. Kim reveals to Jack that she is dating her colleague Chase. Kim has a tech-out-battle with Milo, and ends up working with him collecting information. She heads to Chinga to try and catch Marie Warner, but has a car accident, leaving her and a mystery assailant unconscious. Kim comes round and is rescued by Tony, and they leave to interrogate her attacker - Gary Matheson. Kim gets distracted and kisses Tony, leading to short moments of passion in a motel room. Afterwards they return to the interrogation, until Kingsley’s men attack and take Gary. Kim finds herself ignored by her father upon returning to CTU, and slapped by Michelle for sleeping with Tony. Kim is also unable to find her boyfriend Chase, and gets depressed so she decides to cheer herself up with Agent Baker, but find herself in competition with Michelle, who knocks her out. Kim is fed up of being ignored and is not thinking straight, so she holds a gun to Michelle’s head and orders that Jack and Tony return to CTU. Kim is devastated when Jack shows her up as a fool and Kim kisses Tony again. She then sees him have a heart attack and admonishes his fat intake.

Chloe O’Brien is a Field Ops Analyst at CTU. Chloe is a single mother, with four sons living in CTU. Chloe is basically the CTU Office Bike, and doesn’t get along with Tony or Agent Baker. Everyone else gets on with Chloe very well. Chloe has an erotic encounter with George in the CTU photocopy room. When Claudia is shot Chloe is upset to hear of her ex-lover’s death and heads to the site, but her tyre bursts en route. Jace turns up to “help”, planting a bomb in her car. Fortunately Chloe is not in it when it explodes, and she is assisted by a passing truck driver who agrees to give a ride to CTU. On the way he makes his delivery to Warner Enterprises, where Chloe spots Marie, who manages to escape. Whilst at the Office Chloe and her friend, Tom, find vital information in a file belonging to Bob Warner. Chloe returns to CTU and gives the information to Baker and Guevera; she then hears of Gael being infected with the virus and visits him in his quarantine. Satisfied that he is infected, and will become contagious within a few hours, Chloe kills him to stop any possible spread of the virus. Chloe has gathered information on Kingsley that she passes to her bosses and she goes to help Nina get her son back. After storming Bob Warner’s house they rescue George and his son, and Chloe captures Bob. She gets information from him about Marie’s terrorist plans and leaves him to George and Nina, Nina most angry with Chloe on hearing of her antics with George earlier. Chloe leaves with her new partner Tom to track Marie, but receives information from Milo that is more urgent and takes it to CTU. Tom proposes to Chloe at CTU and she accepts. She’ll serve out her notice before moving with him, her 4 sons and unborn child, to New York. Chloe then discovers Alberta has hired Nina to kill Chappelle and sets off to save him whilst Tom gets evidence from Alberta’s office. Chloe finds Chappelle is already dead and catches up with Nina, who she confronts hormonally. A fight ensues with Chloe in control, but Nina gains the upper hand and stabs Chloe and leaves her dying in the road. Tom arrives, bandages her, and drives to an ER, but Chloe dies before they get there. An angry Tom confronts Alberta and blackmails her, before leaving with Chloe’s orphaned sons for a new life in New York.

Wayne Palmer is the President’s Chief of Staff, and doesn’t like the Christina Parker situation. He hires discreetly renowned assassin Alberta Green to eliminate Christina and remove the problem. Wayne finds information with Jenny Dodge’s help that could end the career of David’s political opponent, but it is uncertain whether it will be used or not. Wayne finds himself unsatisfied in his job, annoyed that David tells him nothing, making his job very difficult. Wayne’s past catches up on him when a paper threatens to reveal about his past marriage to Faith, a former escaped convict. Wayne receives a call from George Mason and releases him from jail in return for him finding information about the assassination attempt on the President. Wayne watches over his brother and breaks the news to him about Sherry’s death. Alberta calls Wayne to inform him that Christina is now dead, so the problem is gone, and Wayne pays her. Wayne has David’s latest lover, Dr Caroline, investigated but she is completely clean, and Wayne wonders why David doesn’t seem to trust or confide in him anymore either as Chief of Staff or as brother. Wayne is delighted when Sherry is revealed as alive, and relieved enough to finally sleep. Wayne is woken to find his ex-wife Faith has come to help him. Wayne still loves her, despite their separation, and takes her to Sherry to help solve the problems. Wayne has George investigate David’s shooting, but George is useless and Wayne tells him not to bother. Feeling even more exasperated, Wayne is broken by the news that his beloved niece is held captive and Faith is probably dead. Wayne finds himself unsure how to act when his niece is killed, and he pleads with Sherry not to give up but to fight. Wayne then collapses against a wall in private, exhausted and emotionally drained from the day’s events.

Agent Tom Baker is very talented at finding leads and information to assist CTU, and receives some false information suggesting Jack and Chase are dirty cops, and discovers that David Palmer has hired a sniper to kill Nina. Agent Baker hears of the predicament at CTU and gathers private back-up to take CTU back. Baker is unsure whether or not to trust Alex Guevera, so he leaves her out. Upon arrival at CTU he finds all the terrorists already wiped out, and sets about securing the perimeter. Baker calls Chappelle to bring CTU under control again, but is told that Alberta Green will be sent instead. Upon arrival she promotes him above everyone else, and Baker quickly finds himself the target of both Kim and Michelle’s lust and he gives in to Michelle, disappointed not to have Kim as well. Baker then returns to work and helps Jack and Derevko chase the virus, and heads into the LA Coliseum. Inside Baker finds one of Valentin’s henchmen and a fight ensues. Baker is wounded, but kills his opponent, and awaits medical treatment.

Alex Guevera is a CTU Agent, and is tailing Claudia, when she bumps into Tony. Alex sends Jace after Keith Palmer and brings Tony up to date, before following up on a lead. She calls Jack upon hearing of the takeover of CTU and decides to return to get it back, but Jack is not interested so she asks Agent Baker for help. They arrive at CTU to find it already freed, and as senior agents there the pair take command of the situation. Alex is most shocked when the sister she thought dead, Mia Guevera, is brought in as an NSA Agent working for Kingsley. Mia had previously been seen as the terrorist Mandy whilst undercover. Alex spends her time catching up with her sister, until Mia heads to the President to warn him about Trepkos being in the CIA. Alex is upset about Mia dropping her so quickly and turns to Baker for comfort, only to get knocked back. She then assists at CTU until the crisis is resolved and she can finally catch up with her sister.

Claudia is undercover working for CTU, and shoots Hector, thinking she has killed him. She is then held at gunpoint by Keith Palmer, who is working for the very-much-alive Hector. Keith notices that something is afoot in the building, and heads off with Claudia in tow. Keith lets Claudia go, but monitors her, and Claudia meets Marie Warner, apparently undercover for all parties concerned. Jace then arrives and shoots her, leaving her for dead in the forest. Hours later Claudia awakens, realising Jace is a bad shot and she heads to hospital for treatment of the gunshot wound. Claudia heads to CTU as soon as possible, where she is distraught to hear of Jack’s affair with Michelle, as she thought they were soul mates. This hardens her resolve, and Jack finds her in the IT room later, and she reveals that she has been working for Valentin all along. Claudia can’t bring herself to kill Jack and injures him instead, but Jack has no such problem and kills her before she can escape.

Marie Warner escaped from a high security prison and heads to Chinga to buy bombing equipment. Tony tries to catch her, the two playing cat and mouse. Marie shoots Tony’s chopper down and flies off to meet Claudia. Marie wants Jack Bauer dead, and heads off to Starbucks where she finds her sister, Kate. Marie is unconvinced that Kate is now a terrorist, but takes her to the apparent bombing target to see it for herself. Marie spots it is a trap and escapes with Kate. Marie heads back to Starbucks to meet a contact, and hits Kate. Kate hits back and knocks Marie out, leaving her parked in an alleyway. Marie wakes after a few hours and heads to find Kate before her plans are ruined, but gets hit by a few buses and is stuck in hospital. Marie escapes from hospital and warns Hafiz that Kate is posing as her. She then heads to meet them, and they all go to the LA Coliseum where the Valentin’s helicopter with the virus has landed. Marie gets tired of waiting and starts shooting Valentin’s men. A gunfight ensues which Marie wins, but gains Jack’s attention and he empties his bullets into Marie, killing her.

Milo Pressman works at CTU still, and joins up with Kim to gather useful information about their colleagues. When she disappears he continues recording calls, and it seems he is working for someone else. When CTU is taken over he is interrogated by those working for Trepkos, who want to know who Milo works for. Milo is actually working for Edward Kingsley, NSA, who rescues him. Milo assists Kingsley with his computer expertise and is present when the Kingsley group are attacked, just managing to send important information about Trepkos to Chloe before being found and killed.

Kate Warner is comfort eating and drinking in Starbucks when she sees Jack with Nina. She flees, and trips outside, landing at the feet of her escaped convict terrorist sister, Marie. In an attempt to survive, Kate pretends to have become a terrorist, and claims to be planning to blow up the Warner Enterprises building. The pair head there, but there is no rescue, and Marie takes Kate back to the Starbucks to meet a contact. Kate knocks Marie out and pretends to be Marie whilst meeting Abdul Hafiz, and goes along with his plans whilst trying to contact Jack for help. Kate is unsuccessful and is stuck with Hafiz until Marie finds them and Kate is now their hostage as they chase the virus at the LA Coliseum and she tries to get Jack’s attention still. Kate finally gets Jack’s attention and he heads to her as she picks up a gun for self-defence, but Mia Guevera mistakes her for a terrorist and shoots her, and Kate dies in Jack’s arms.

Alberta Green agrees to eliminate Christina Parker for Wayne Palmer, for the right price of course. Her sister, Sherry, then calls about Christina and Alberta decides to use her to get closer to Christina. In return for information Sherry has Alberta assists her in interrogating Christina rather than killing her. She then allows Nina to kill Christina, and calls Wayne to tell him Christina is dead, and so gets paid. With a lot of time to kill now, Alberta agrees to command CTU for Chappelle for a very high price. Upon arrival Alberta demotes the senior staff and promotes Baker and Chloe. Alberta decides she wants to keep this job as she loves the power of it, but Jack and Chappelle are in her way, so she decides to kill them but it can’t be traced to her, so she anonymously hires Nina and George to do it. Alberta is called by Sherry and updated on Nicole’s predicament and she liaises with Hostage Rescue Team and has Keith found and kept safe. Despite her horror at Nicole’s death, Alberta keeps a clear head and gets the National Guard to surround the Coliseum to ensure no infected persons exit the structure. Having the situation under control, Alberta is impressed with herself, but Tom has evidence about the hits she arranged that could bring her down. Alberta manages to buy the evidence off him, so no one else will ever know of her involvement in the deaths.

Abdul Hafiz wants to get the virus, with Marie Warner’s help, and doesn’t realise he is actually with her non-terrorist sister. Hafiz plans to break a former NSA Chief out of a FBI holding cell to gain access to a system designed to track the virus. Hafiz doesn’t trust Kate, but ignores his suspicions, and successfully gains access to the tracking system and follows the virus being transported by Valentin. Hafiz receives a call from Marie and finds that Kate is an impostor. He decides not to kill her, and they all head after the virus, now at the LA Coliseum. Inside the Coliseum, Hafiz is close to finding Valentin, but too late to gain the virus. Marie gains the attention of Valentin and CTU, and Hafiz is killed by a CTU sniper as he tries to escape.

Christina Parker is a former CIA Agent, and an ex-lover of President Palmer. She now works as an assassin, and is forced by Alex Trepkos to blackmail David regarding a sensitive target she took out for the US Government. She has Sherry kidnapped when she starts snooping, and brought to her at the Peach Pit, an infamous torture site. Christina is worried to hear Alberta is after her as well. Christina receives a phone call from David warning her that Nina is heading to kill her. Despite Christina’s actions David still cares for her. When Nina arrives, Sherry manages to escape, and Christina focuses on gaining information from Nina, but Jack arrives and takes Christina to jail. At the prison, Sherry and Alberta arrive to question her. Christina knows she is about to die, either by Nina or Alberta, so she tells Sherry all in return for a cyanide capsule, only to be double-crossed and handed over to Nina. Nina takes Christina to see the President, and she is allowed one last goodbye before being taken out into the woods and shot.

Max works for ‘The Woman’, a criminal who is actually Trepkos. Max has Gael captured and forced to work for him. Max infects Gael with the virus and sends him back to CTU to feed FBI information to Max. Max manages to enter CTU, and gives Gael orders to distract Jack whilst Max’s minor fund-gathering terrorist activities occur over the next few hours. Max’s plan is unsuccessful and Trepkos is not happy and threatens him. Max knows what Trepkos is capable of and so flees LA after a last look and glare at Warner Enterprises. Fortunately for Max, Trepkos is captured presumably before having Max killed.

Alex Trepkos is CIA Deputy Director of Operations and secretly also ‘The Woman’, a criminal mastermind. He wants control of the government and possession of the virus. He has Christina Parker working for him, and she blackmails David Palmer and kidnaps Sherry. He orders Hanlon and Jace to attack CTU, but they are quickly wiped out there. Trepkos also has Max working for him, but he is angry at Max’s delays and threatens him. Max then flees LA rather than face Trepkos’ wrath. Trepkos and his men storm Kingsley’s HQ and kill all within, removing a large thorn that had been in his side. Trepkos is ultimately behind the shooting of David Palmer, and has Nicole kidnapped by Freddie Lee Cobb in an attempt to get rid of David as President. Trepkos’ plans regarding the virus are foiled, but his plans to oust the Palmers seem to have worked. He answers a call from Freddie Lee, but it is Sherry using his phone and she traces him to his remote cottage and confronts him, chopping off his gun hand in the process. Trepkos is then left for the cops to deal with, and facing a very long stretch in jail.

Colonel Alexandr Derevko: Meets Jack late in the day. He is trying to stop Valentin and asks Jack for help. He heads with Jack, Baker and Mia to find Valentin. Derevko already knows Mia and she believes him to be an enemy. He identifies Valentin for Jack at the LA Colisseum, and goes after Valentin’s brother Vicente. A chase, gunfight, and fist fight occur, resulting in Vicente’s death, but Derevko is covered in cuts and drenched in infected water, and realises his time is extremely limited. He finds Jack, and kills Valentin to save Jack.

Valentin Zukovsky: Controls the virus. He arrives in the USA early in the day using the name ‘Mr Cross’, and collects the virus from a hidden lab. He realises he is being traced by Hafiz who also wants the virus and leads a merry chase courtesy of his helicopter before landing in the LA Coliseum as a crowd of 92000 get ready to watch the Superbowl game. Inside the stadium Valentin pours the virus into the water supply form where it will spread and infect all who consume it. He creates panic in the crowd, hoping to escape in the process, but gaining Jack’s attention. Valentin and Jack have a gunfight, and Jack gets the upper hand, and attempts to find who Valentin worked for. Valentin doesn’t tell, and is shot by Derevko just before he could stab Jack.

Bob Warner: CEO of Warner Enterprises, he almost catches Chloe and Tom in his office when he pops in, but he leaves again quickly, leaving important and incriminating information lying around, along with empty wine bottles. It seems Bob arranged Marie’s escape for her, but Bob is focused on another matter – one of revenge. Bob is the one who kidnapped George’s son, and when George arrives he too is captured and mentally tortured most cruelly. Bob tries to escape when his building is stormed, but Chloe catches him and interrogates him for information regarding Marie before leaving him with Nina and George who torture him violently before George strangles the life out of him.

Jim Prescott: Vice-President of the USA, has a secret meeting with Defense Secretary Peterson, plotting to be rid of David. They mention that Sherry is a threat to their plans, leading to her faking her own death. Prescott has a meeting with David Palmer and is forced to reveal that he and the KKK were behind David being shot, not an assassination attempt, just to take him out of Office so Prescott could be in power. Sherry then tortures Prescott for info on Trepkos’ involvement in the plan, and leaves him in pain.

Jace Michaels: CTU Agent sent after Keith Palmer. He loses Keith and finds Claudia, before shooting her and leaving her for dead. He is actually working for Trepkos, and plants a bomb in Chloe’s car before assisting with a takeover attack on CTU. The man he assists turns and shoots him. Jace awakes, alive and fairly well, captured by Edward Kingsley who uses him to get Milo back from CTU. Jace sends Jack information about Kim and Tony’s antics, successfully dividing CTU. He then takes information to Nina about George’s infidelity, hoping to further rupture CTU and those assisting it, but he miscalculates Nina’s response and she kills him in anger over the news.

Gael Ortega: CTU Agent forced to assist Max, he attempts to inform CTU. He is infected with the virus by Max and sent back to CTU. When CTU is taken over he is trapped in a room with all his colleagues. When CTU is freed again Gael is sent to quarantine, as he is starting to feel ill. Chloe visits him, verifies that he will soon be contagious, and kills him.

Edward Kingsley: Son of Maureen and Peter Kingsley, and NSA Agent undercover as a criminal, whilst attempting to gather evidence to bring Trepkos down. He wipes out the terrorists at CTU to regain his mole, Milo. Edward doesn’t want CTU interfering, so Milo interrupts their systems. He steals Gary Matheson for interrogation, killing him upon learning all he can about Trepkos. Kingsley is close to accomplishing his goals when Trepkos and his men enter and kill Kingsley and all else within.

Hector Salazar: Working for Trepkos. He is shot by Claudia, but survives. Has Keith Palmer working for him, and Keith captures Claudia for him. Hector has Claudia let go but monitors her, to see if she works for him or CTU. Keith keeps pestering him with phone calls, which he ignores until Keith goes away. He vanishes after hearing of Claudia’s death.

Freddie Lee Cobb: Leader of Klu Klux Klan, California section. Freddie Lee agrees to kidnap Nicole Palmer and hold her to ransom for Trepkos in return for funding. His plans go awry when Faith enters, kills his guards, holds Sue Ellen Cobb at gunpoint and demands Nicole’s release. Faith is too late to save Nicole, so she uses Freddie Lee as a human shield to escape. He is taken to Sherry, who wounds him and he is left to die.
