Rosie movies

Hi I'm Rosie. I was born on 18th February 2007 and I live in Cambridge, UK. I have big blue eyes and curly brown hair. Three days a week I go to nursery, and on the days that I don't Mummy often meets up with her twin sister and I play with my cousins Charlie and Millie. On the weekends Mummy and Daddy sometimes like to take me swimming. I love dancing, singing, painting, animals and other children and babies. You can see what I get up to on this webpage, and on my page of movie clips.

8th November. This afternoon it was my friend Alban's 3rd birthday and I was invited to his party, which had a nautical theme. I went as a mermaid pirate bride. We played games including pass the parcel and I had a lovely fun time.

6th November. We had a fireworks party at our house and my cousins Charlie and Millie, Auntie El and Uncle Tim, and Auntie Claudia came over for tea. Uncle Tim lit the fireworks in the garden and we watched from the patio. We wrapped up warm in hats and gloves, and Mummy made glow-stick necklaces for Charlie, Millie and me. I didn't like the whooshy rockets but we all really liked the sparkly roman candles. Poor Daddy's train from London was delayed and he missed our fireworks, but we saved him a baked potato.

29th October. Today I went to nursery in fancy dress for Halloween. I went as a purple witch. We had lots of fun today including playing pass the parcel with my friends.

23rd October. Mummy and Daddy went to the hospital this lunchtime so they could scan Mummy's tummy, and there is a little baby inside! They seem very happy about it all. Here is one of the pictures they brought home to show me. I know all about babies coz Auntie El had one (baby Millie) and Mummy's friend Ruth had one (baby Fiona), so I am not getting too excited just yet.

12th October. Mummy and I went to Battle Abbey for the battle of Hastings this weekend. We camped in the same tent as my friend Alban and his family, so when we woke up we could play on my bed with our teddies and sing songs together. I also played with Leo and Rhys too, including making a longship out of stools (although Rhys was driving a train at his end). I loved watching Mummy being an archer in the main battle and I waved a broken arrow to cheer her on - she shot lots of Saxons. Mummy said that I was very good all weekend and we both had a lovely time.

19th September. We went to the Newnham College Victorian family fun day along with the Clapps. Me, Charlie and Millie went in fancy dress and took our teddies along for the Teddy Bear's Picnic. It was a lovely afternoon.

16th September. I have a new baby cousin, born early this morning to my Uncle Nick and Auntie Simone in Australia. She was born by caesarean several weeks early and is only 7lbs, and hasn't even got a name yet - but here is a picture of her and her Mummy. She shares her birthday with my other Uncle, Tim!

31st August. Mummy and I spent the Bank Holiday Monday visiting Auntie Claudia. I really enjoyed playing in Claudia's racing car for ages. We did lots of stuff today, we made popcorn, did some science experiments, went to the shop, picked blackberries and Claudia and I cut some flowers from the garden for Mummy. I had a great time, but didn't see as much of Carbonel the cat as I'd have liked - she hid behind the sofa most of the time!

29th August. We went to the wedding of my second cousin Rowan, to his fiancée Sarah in Norwich today. I had a great time, and particularly enjoyed running around with all the flower girls at the reception, and watching the kids magic show after the meal was over (I got a sweet for doing good clapping). I stayed up until after 10pm doing some dancing on the disco, and slept on the way home in my PJs. Check out this link for more pictures.

20th August. Mummy and I went to Birdfair at Rutland Water today. It is a big national trade fair for birdwatchers, with stands selling birding holidays, optics, bird food, bird books, as well as conservation organisations etc. There were some stands with making-and-doing for children, and I did colouring and made a seahorse and a bumblebee hat. One also had an inflatable dolphin which I loved riding. There was a marquee full of wildlife art, and I liked stroking the wooden otter (which said 'please stroke me'). Look out for the Big Bad Wolf Rosie!! Don't worry, it's just a photograph by Chris Packham (from Springwatch on the telly), who Mummy seemed excited to see. In these photos I am wearing the new jumper than Nana knitted for me and arrived in a parcel this week.

16th August. Daddy has been in America since Monday, so yesterday Mummy and I had an outing to the Milton Maize Maze, where I enjoyed the trampolines, tractors and bouncy castles, and Mummy enjoyed the go-carts and the maze. Today we collected Daddy from Heathrow and had a day out at Hatfield house and gardens, before we had to say Goodbye again and take him to Luton airport as he is off to Barcelona until Saturday. It was lovely to play with Daddy today though, I have missed him this week.

9th August. I've just got back from my first trip camping with the Vikings at Sutton Hoo. On the way we stopped off at the beach at Aldeburgh for a paddle and an ice cream. Mummy and I shared a little tent, and I did lots of playing with my Viking friends. I found sleeping in a sleeping bag a bit weird for the first night, but slept very well the second night. Mummy enjoyed doing some fighting, and singing round the campfire after I'd gone to bed.

4th August. I'm a big girl now. I am now sleeping in my own big bed in the big purple room. I have been wearing big girl pants since we got back from Prague, and have been doing all my wees and poos in the potty (well, nearly all). I can count to twelve, and sing large chunks of the alphabet song. I can swim a little bit, and sing lots of nursery rhymes.

31st July. I just got back from a week in Prague, see my page full of news and pictures here.
