Feburary 2012 Playing in the snow
Jonas, wearing his new Chinese hat, is reading to himself on the sofa. It's a book of baby animals. A dog ("woof!"), a duck ("quack!"), a lamb ("baa!"), and a tiger ("rrraaa!"). Then he decides between his Peppa Pig books, and both Peppa and Daddy Pig are called "daddy!". October 2011.
On a day out at Wimpole farm, Jonas inspects some sheep, and then Rosie and Jonas enjoy exploring the bale maze, and they play in the sawdust pig pen in the piggery. 2 September 2011.
Rosie rides a tractor and pulls her little brother along in the trailer, at the Milton Maize Maze. 20th August 2011.
Rosie has her graduation ceremony from pre-school, 19th August 2011.
13th July. Rosie's last ballet class of term was a chance for the parents to watch. Here are some clips of the dances and exercises she does. The first clip is the dance to the Harry Potter music that she performed on stage at The Dedikated ballet show on Saturday. 10th June. At the Rainbow Day Nursery sports day Jonas took part in a 'pushing a baby-walker' race, and came second, after needing a bit of re-direction when he crashed into the audience. Rosie competed in a running race and egg-and-spoon race in which she came second each time, and in a 'jumping in a bag' (or sack) race, which she won!
4th June we all went to Hatfield House (not related to Hatfield forest), to meet up with Rik and Nick and their family. Jonas and Daddy enjoyed looking at the (baa baa) black sheep, and Jonas liked the lambs, but was less certain when a large adult sheep came past.
After a picnic lunch at Hatfield forest everyone went to play in the woods, and Jonas took the opportunity to practise standing up and getting his balance on a log seat in the wood.
On 3rd June, Rosie, Charlie, Millie (and Jonas) went to Hatfield forest for a fairies and elves day. They had to follow a trail through the woods, and when they came to the troll bridge, they had to guess his name (luckily El had solved the riddle for the kids).
2nd June. Jonas took his first steps today! Here is a movie of his second attempt once I'd got the camera. What a good day to take the afternoon off work. The setting is the Teddy Bear's picnic organised by our church, and it was just lovely.
Rosie is in the bath pouring water, which Jonas thinks is hilarious as he laughs from the side of the bath. At the end of this movie he also says Mama to Mummy. Jonas is 10 months old and Rosie is 4.

Rosie plays musical bumps to the hokey cokey with El, Charlie, Millie and friends at Millie's 2nd birthday party.
There haven't been many movies of Jonas recently so here he is enjoying his door bouncer in December 2010 aged 7 months.
Rosie doing ballet. Firstly in her bedroom with her new ballet costume on, and then at her last ballet class of term when the Mums and Dads could watch. Lucy, the teacher is showing the class how to balance on one leg, and then Rosie gets to lead the class round the room waving wands like fairies.
Rosie performs her own dance routine while watching Strictly Come Dancing (it's a quickstep). There is some accompanying roaring from Jonas' dinosaur as she steps on it.

Jonas enjoys watching Rosie, Charlie and Millie play with the balloon spider on Halloween 2010. The tots have been eating all the sweets they collected when trick or treating!

Rainbow Day Nursery Sports Day. Rosie competed in the pre-school class running race, egg-and-(egg)-spoon race (2nd place), and the sack race. She did really well, and had a good time, despite it being a very hot afternoon.
