SNOOKER HANDICAPS

Will be adjusted as follows

1st round losers: +4 points
2nd round losers: +3 points
3rd round losers: +2 points
Semi Finalists: -2 points
Losing Finalist: -3 points
Winner: Half handicap unless below 10 when -5 points

If six full rounds are required the above will operate except that 4th round losers will keep the handicap with which they started the competition ie no change

Handicaps will be capped at 50 points, so once reached, a first round loser on that handicap won't go to 54.

The handicap sub-committee can make adjustments to handicaps before any competition, if deemed appropriate. Otherwise, only the results in the following competitions will be taken into account for adjusting handicaps in the above manner – The Spring Handicap, the President’s Tournament.

On these occasions, the resultant best player in the club will be placed on scratch (never a minus score) and everyone else’s handicap will be reduced/increased as appropriate. Handicaps in all other competitions will be adjusted as follows:

Winner of a Singles Competition: -5 points
Winners of a Pairs Competition: -3 points each
