For how many years have you enjoyed playing snooker at the PHG?
Here’s a great way of benefiting the club and ensuring its survival for future generations. Please don’t baulk at the idea – the club needs a lucky break.
Below is the wording of a pecuniary legacy that you can include in your Will. It is for a fixed sum of money but remember that will reduce with inflation*, so don’t hesitate to be generous. If in your lifetime you’ve ever aspired to score a maximum, your chance may have arrived. Might we therefore suggest the sum of £147 or a multiple thereof – you could brag about that wherever you go!
'I bequeath unto The PHG Club of the Parochial Hall, 5 Fitzroy Drive, Leeds, LS8 4AB the sum of £..... ( hundred pounds) free of tax and I direct that the receipt of an authorised Officer of the Club shall be a good and sufficient discharge of such legacy.'
The amount has been deliberately left blank. Whatever amount you feel that your estate can afford would be most welcome. Rest assured, the club are not expecting to pocket your bequest soon. Hopefully you will continue to wear out the carpet and the cloths for many a day. However, when finally snookered, just think what satisfaction awaits, knowing that you could be the next revered Cameron or Penfold.
