Peter Wilson has an Electrical Engineering background. Trained in Pragmatic Engineering in the British Apprenticeship system, Peter moved into the Educational Sector then back into the manufacturing sector.
Peter already has 20 years experience in High Definition Television at the highest level with experience of large screen Projection in several technologies. It was only natural for Peter to take an interest in Digital Cinema around five years ago.
Peter moved on from Snell and Wilcox six months ago and set up a Consultancy and Training business which is High Definition and Digital Cinema Ltd.
Peter is Currently Vice Chair of the European Digital Cinema Forum and Chairman of the technical module. Peter also sits on committees and working groups for the UK Department of Trade and Industry and Digital Terrestrial Group.

Head-hunted as the manager of Strategic Planning from Sony Broadcast Ltd.
Product Managed an OEM display processor for LED Walls
Evaluated Digital Cinema and Higher Resolution applications in hardware and software for long term product planning.
Responsible for the conception, planning and introduction for 19 new products in the HDTV, wide screen TV and display processing areas.

1981–1991
Sony Broadcast

1982-1983: Service Manager for Benelux Region.
1984-1991: Responsible for introducing new product areas into the market:
HDVS High Definition Video Systems.
SIPS Sony Image Processing System (Super Computer).
Data and Instrumentation Recorders.
Successfully promoted Sony HDVS in a politically hostile environment.
Introduced HDTV into the car industry as both a design tool (Ford) and a promotional tool (BMW / Mercedes).
