The fabulous Zamick did it again! The idol of the Midlands averaged no
less than 2.5 points per game in the Autumn Cup, to head the scoring chart by a clear 14
points from his nearest rival, who happened to be linemate and right winger Pate Casey on
61, with Captain (Zamick's left wing linemate) Strongman 4th on 52. Although they didn't
win the competition it was a great opening for them as individuals.
After this great start to the season, Panthers suffered a severe blow when star centre
Zamick broke his arm in a collision with Malacko of Harringay Racers and was able to
complete only 11 of the 30 game National League schedule.
Zamick, Strongman and Casey finished 6th, 7th & 8th in the scoring charts, but Zamick
on 98 was only 21 points behind winner Booth of Harringay Racers despite playing only 41
games compared to 60 of the winner.
