| Dan was a revelation,
scoring at a greater rate than that other hero of recent times, Lee Jinman. |
| Unfortunately
he blotted
his copybook as far as Panthers fans were concerned when in mid |
| November, he
handed in his notice after
being approached by Swiss Div2 side Lausanne. They saw him as the man to fire
their |
| promotion ambitions. As well as losing Dan's point and a half per game we were also losing his ability in
the face-off circle, |
| where
he won over two out of three draws taken. Panthers season never recovered from the loss
of his services. With him
the |
| results read
W17 L5 D2, without him W14 L11 D7.
He returned
for 08/09 under new coach Corey Neilson as a late |
| replacement for
a Chris
Richards who was now to remain in North
America. Dan continued where he had left off scoring at |
| almost
a point and a half a game and would undoubtedly have finished top point
scorer but for an injury which saw him miss |
| 8
games. It was reported to be his final year as a pro as he was due to
become a police officer in the summer back in Canada. |
