| "Chainsaw" signed at the end of November, partly as a replacement for
Steve Roberts who had suffered a season ending shoulder injury. Although he had already retired his application to join an agricultural
college in Canada had been late. Darcy proved to be a hard skating, aggressive winger who
also proved useful at centre taking face-offs. At the end of the season he semi-retired
again to take up his agricultural career and joined the Idaho Steelheads with Roy Mitchell
