| Coming with the tag of being a Stanley Cup ring owner perhaps too much was expected
from Jamie. However although not being in scintillating form he scored consistently and,
along with "Lax", bore the brunt of Panthers physical forward play in 97/98. On
his return in 98/99 Jamie was made team captain and again had a solid season, working
tirelessly at both ends of the ice. He retired at the end of 2000/01 to take up
a coaching position back in North America. |
