| Ross arrived as a last minute replacement towards the beginning of 93/94 season, having
been around the British circuit for a number of years. Although he is pretty small and is
not the most gifted player, Ross plays with the grit and determination of a giant. Single
handedly on numerous occasions he lifted the morale of the team by stepping onto the ice
and playing like a man possessed. An abiding memory of Ross is his annoying habit (as far
as the opposition is concerned) of "Running through" the opposing goalie to try
and put him off his game, at the risk of some large defenceman taking great offence. The
amount of Heart he bought to the team had to be seen to be believed. He left somewhat
acrimoniously during the summer of 95, after Panthers refused to get into a bidding war
with Durham for his services. |
