"No: 88, Go
Johnny Go - it's Johnny Craighead". The player the fans
loved. Came with a roughhouse reputation, but we didn't see it in
Nottingham. Quite how he managed to pick up 224 penalty minutes in his
first season is a
mystery to me. The refs seemed to give him minors just for looking mean
at times. John was the season's leading goal-scorer in 03/04.
He re-signed in mid June for 04/05, despite rumours that he and the
coach weren't the best of friends the previous season. At the start of
December he came down with mumps and was out for over a month. Just as
he was due back he resigned. Obviously the rumours had been true. He
immediately signed for Cardiff |
