| "Curt" proved to
be a gritty winger and showed his value to the team with a number of
outstanding displays |
| on D
when the already short defensive
bench strength was reduced even further by injury. By the end of the |
| season he had spent
most of his time on D and given
a good account of himself on what was a pretty dismal |
| team. Although rumoured to have
been offered a new
contract he re-appeared the following year in the |
| colours of the
Manchester Storm. |
| Much to my
surprise Curt re-signed in mid September 2005 to fill the remaining
berth,
having spent most of |
| the intervening period on Belfast Giants'
forward line. He again had a solid season despite the six year gap. |
| Once
again he spent most of his time on D, which I thought was a shame as he
has a fine wrist-shot and a |
| nose
for goal. He also demonstrated an ability, albeit rarely, to hit a decent
first time slap-shot. Something |
| few
others would even attempt. |
