    Birth: 60 Magdala Terrace, Fratton Road Portsmouth (probably not there anymore)  John Henry Dore 18/11/1875

    Indenture Document: c 1889, for John Henry Dore when he was 14. Mother signed form, she was, Amelia Dore (nee Suter from 27 Victoria Terrace, Lake Road b. 29/09/1863)

    Marriage: 7 Sackville Street - Dore family residence in 1901
    John Henry Dore married Elizabeth Anne Dyer on 19/09/1901. 
    She lived at 11 West Street then.

    21 Nessus Street, Buckland address Grandparents moved to on marriage in 1901

    14 Burney Road family address of Grandmother, Elizabeth Anne?

    St Mark's Close, Alverstoke moved to in 1940s to 1950s
     

    Simpson's Directory  in  1863:-

    William Dore at 27 Victoria Terrace, Landport and Charles Dore at 29 Church Road, Kingston.

    Also on Gosport side - W. Dore at Queens Road, Stoke Road.

    In 1887  there were (Chamberlains Directory)  9 Dores in Portsmouth - no William. In Gosport there was R.Dore of 4 St Mary's Road Alverstoke and Joseph Dore at 11 Queens Road.

    In 1911 according to Kelly's Directory there were 15 Dores living in Portsmouth & Gosport. Grandfather was then at 46 Oliver Road, Eastney, Southsea and at 54 Prince Alfred Street Gosport here was William Henry Dore.
