The Wellington Bootles

Formed in 1981, to play together in the Wellington Pub, Luton, for a bit of a laugh, all three of the original Wellington Bootles will celebrate their 25th Anniversary later this year.

Since then the Bootles have laughed themselves through the United Arab Emirates, Central America, Germany, Gibralta, and Holland - not forgetting the Shetland Islands and three tours for the British Forces in the Falkland Islands.

Pete Spence: (originally known as 'Gene Swingblue'). Wizard guitarist, powerful vocalist, plus a canny sense of humour that combines to make sure every night is fun. Pete has supported Jimmy Hendrix, Cream, etc and has played lead guitar for Screaming Lord Such, Brian Poole and many more.

John Partridge: A quiet man, addicted to TEA. Ace bass player, great harmoniser and the man in charge of the band's great sound. John has played bass for many sixties stars. (Originally known as 'Duke Deep', many still refer to him as 'the Duke')

Mick Farrell: Drummer supreme and the man who sings all the high bits. Held in great respect by many musicians, who regard him as 'simply the best'. Among the people Mick has drummed for is Mick Abrahams of Jethro Tull and Blodwyn Pig fame. Originally known as Vic Deakin for security reasons. [Social Security]
