The P&O liner ‘Aurora’ sailed from Southampton on Friday 16th April 2004 for a one week cruise to the Iberian Peninsular.
First port of call was Vigo in Spain on Sunday 18th. After a very turbulent crossing of the Bay of Biscay with force 8 gales.
On Monday 19th we called at Lisbon, Portugal.
Then back across the stormy Biscay to La Rochelle in France on the 21st.
The next day we anchored at St Peterport, Guernsey for the afternoon and then sailed for home overnight.
Despite the rough weather, the cruise was very good and we dined in luxury in the ships restaurant.
The shows on board were excellent and every evening had first class entertainment.
