TONTEG WI

meet at the Church Village Parish Hall, on the third Tuesday of the month, at 7.30pm

96 members, a wide age range in this busy friendly group, who always enjoy themselves. Good attendance at their meetings, held in a very nice hall. They celebrated their 40th Anniversary in 2007, and can boast two Federation Chairmen in their membership.

They have an Activity and Craft section and are hoping soon to start a choir; they also enjoy walking.

Tonteg won the Wales 2002 Recruitment Award (for WIs with over 30 members). They also had a very succesful Agenda 21 project, "Tonteg Trash", a booklet on recycling and energy conservation, and won the Rosebowl at the Royal Welsh Show 2006.
