THREE CROSSES WI

meet in the Community Centre, on the first Wednesday in the month, at 7.15pm

There are 39 members.

This WI was "re-born", and is celebrating its 80th Anniversary in 2006... They are a new WI, based on the origins of the old one, and they aim to go forward, "doing what the members want" and trying to cater for everyone. At the Annual Council Meeting in 2003, Three Crosses WI was awarded the Chairman's Plate for their astonishing increase in membership ... from 5 to 32 ... over 500%!

As well as their main Programme, they also plan a Programme of walks, ranging from easy to harder, and from 2 to 4 miles.

 

The Banner, which depicts the original Pound in the old village, was made back in the 1930s.
