The Banner, made in the early 1970s, depicts the bridge over the River Clun, (hence Pontyclun).

It was designed by Don Beard, husband of the one-time Treasurer and Secretary, Ivy Beard, and was worked in felt collage, mostly by Sybil Morgan and Lucy Thomas.
