PENNARD WI

meet at the Parish Hall, on the first Monday of the month, at 7.30pm

55 members belong to this group, who have a mini-choir, and an ad hoc Drama Group. They try to emulate everything good about WI, and are always ready to rise to the occasion. Among their many gifts to the village over the past sixty years have been a beautiful high-backed, wooden armchair for the Library, an avenue of trees in the Burial ground, and most recently, a photographic record of Pennard in the year 2000, which now resides in Pennard Library, and is available to the whole community. They have also replaced all the old heavy tables in the Village Hall with new lightweight ones, with the aid of Lottery funding.

The banner depicts Pennard Castle, Three Cliffs and the seascape. It was made by Evelyn Griffiths, Grace Howes, the late Irene Moss and the late Nora Mumby, around 1960.
