NOTTAGE WI

meet at Unitarian Church Hall, on the first Thursday of the month, at 7.00pm

A loyal core of 32 long-standing members belongs to this WI, formed in 1948, the oldest of the three in the Porthcawl area. As well as their normal monthly meeting, they also get together on a Tuesday evening for Scrabble, cards, Drama and other social activities.

The Banner depicts a house on the bank of a stream, with a small boat tied to an ash tree. This refers to the time the sea came in to Nottage, which was then called "Nott Ash".
The banner is made of red linen, with the picture on a blue circle, edged in silver.  The lettering is appliqued in silver kid, and the banner was made by Morfydd Jones.
