GLYNNEATH & DISTRICT
WI
meet in Glynneath OAP
Hall, on the last Thursday of the month, at 7 pm
44 members belong
to this busy WI, who enjoy a beginners' Percussion Group as well
as their other activities.
The oldest
WI in the Neath and Dulais valleys, they uphold the tradition
of the WI by singing "Jerusalem" at the start of their
meetings.
Their Banner
depicts the Glynneath coat of arms, the Lamb and Flag, and was
designed by Mrs G Bowen, and made by Mrs Bowen, Mrs J Jones and
Mrs E Barclay, founder-members.
(Glynneath
and Rhigos was the original name of this WI)
