ABERKENFIG & DISTRICT WI

meet at Aberkenfig Welfare Hall on the second Wednesday of the month, at 2pm

A contented, friendly and welcoming group of 33 members, they meet in the afternoons, and have their own public address system and a portable stage, on which they perform sketches for social meetings. They also have a Craft section, whose latest project was a wall-hanging of Aberkenfig & district, past and present. They have their own webpage on the Cobwebs site, click here to go to it.

The Banner depicts the geography of the area, including the M4 motorway, the River Ogmore and the River Kenfig, and the old stone Swanie Bridge. The three gold crosses depict the three churches in the area. It was made by Lillian Hopkins in 1984.
