WI SHOW 2009

After the shock news that Neath Port Talbot Borough Council had cancelled Margam Show, our Shows Committee decided that nevertheless, THE SHOW MUST GO ON! So they gathered strength, and organised the Glamorgan WI Show, at North Cornelly Community Centre. Unlike the Margam Show, this was WI only; the  setting up and judging was on Friday 28 August, and the Show opened to the public on Saturday 29 August.

Another very successful Show, despite the change of venue... over 400 members of the public came in to see what WI is all about. Congratulations to all the prize winners, and a big Thank you to all who took part... not just the entrants, but the Shows Committee, the Judges, the Stewards, and the back-room girls (and boys!) who helped to make our annual event such a wonderful show case for the WI in Glamorgan.

The Show Team , pictured with representatives from Edwards Coaches, who generously sponsored the Show

Grateful thanks to Show Chairman Angela Bending's husband, David, for the pictures of the presentations.... what would we do without the WISHs?
