MARGAM COUNTY SHOW 2008

This was our eleventh show, and as usual, the Shows Committee worked extremely hard, in appalling conditions; the weather was not kind to us this year, the ground was waterlogged, and even with straw spread on the ground, it was soggy underfoot... wellies were essential!

The theme was "BRA-VO 4 WI", a tongue-in-cheek use of the word "Bra", with every class-title incorporating those 3 magic letters. There were 1500 entries and the standard was just as high as last year...

Another very successful Show... congratulations to all the prize winners, and a big Thank you to all who took part.. not just the entrants, but the Shows Committee, the Judges, the Stewards, and the back-room girls (and boys!) who helped to make our annual event such a wonderful show case for the WI in Glamorgan.

Looking forward to next year, (and hoping for better weather!)

NB Photographs of the presentations were by Show Chairman Angela Bending's husband, David. Many thanks to him, where would we be without our WISHs?
