Pete Laity (electric) blues band
This has been amongst my more recent musical explorations.  Consequently, there is quite a lot of material available.

The blues band really came together as a result of collaborating with Keith Eardley on the 'Heart in my Shoes' album.  Initially a five-piece, later as a quartet, we played many gigs in the Midlands - including a couple of private parties on the island in the centre of Mallory Park racetrack.

The tracks were recorded at Sable-Rose Studio, in coventry and feature both (4- and 5-piece) line-ups.

Heart in my Shoes
Eventually, 'Crash by Design' did exactly what it says on the tin - and crashed.  I had a brief interlude with a band called 'Hot Property', which allowed me to move towards the blues.  However, there were problems keeping a fixed line-up, so that band did not last long.

I started working on 'Heart in my Shoes' out of the frustration of not having a good band capable of playing live gigs.  I planned to involve as many of my musical friends as I could persuade to take part - a sort of musical memento, with no intention of publishing it.  As it turned out, however, the music was so good that I decided to release it on CD.
Pete Laity and Keith Eardley
Following the demise of the electric band, Keith and I continued to work together playing acoustic blues.  Sometimes going by the name 'Sherbourn Delta', this has been the most enduring line-up, with numerous gigs at Broadstairs, Streatham, Brinklow, Banbury, Wadebridge and other festivals.  We have stopped looking for regular bookings, since we no longer live close enough to each other to rehearse, and have often though we should stop.  However, some gigs keep coming our way (e.g. Broadstairs and Streatham) - and we surprise ourselves how well we work together on minimal practice time.
