Boiler Replacement |
|
PLB Heating can supply and fit
a large number of boilers from various manufactures. Form experience
however you do get what you pay for. Therefore unless there are
specific size or flue constraints I recommend Baxi, potterton or
Glowworm. The products from these companies are well put together and
the manufactures have all been around for a long time.
Regardless of the installer,
boiler or manufacture you chose there is an important changes you need
to know about.
In 2008 the home buyers pack
was introduced. This pack will be a set of documents required by your
solicitor showing that building regulations have been complied with on
all changes to your property. Since April 2004 all new boiler
installations should be meeting part L of the building
regulations. Corgi introduced a scheme where the installer notifies
them of the installation and they produce the necessary paper work.
This avoids the need for what could be costly building inspections.
When you need your boiler
replaced it is hard to know you are getting a good deal. Most of us
will only have to replace our boiler a few times in our live. We
therefore need to chose an installer who will do a good job and not
charge for unnecessary work or over charge for the work that is
required. PLB Heating would recommend that you get several quotes but
don't simply go for the cheapest. Try and find out about the boiler
that is going to be installed.
Each quote form PLB Heating
includes a break down of what each item is costing you. This allows you
to see what you are being charged for. A new boiler in many ways can be
compared with a car. There are manufactures who can be compared with
Sokda and others that can be compared with BMW, Porsche, Audi.
