Welcome to the Website of the Liverpool Governors’ Forum We hope we have made it easy to use. If you have any difficulty using this site or wish to report any errors, please email Joe Hartley or Cynthia Carmichael at the addresses given below.	The next committee meeting will be held on Tuesday 20th October. The Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 17th Novemeber. All meetings will be at Broughton Hall High School, Yew Tree Lane, West Derby at 10.00 a.m. Liverpool governors are welcome to attend committee meetings.
Impact Competition Congratulations to the School Council of Sandfield Park School, winners of the Secondary sector of our Impact Competition, who were presented with a cheque for £200.00 by officers of LGF at their School Assembly on Monday 27th April. A "Highly Commended" Certificate was awarded to St Francis Xavier School, for their excellent entry. Many thanks to all who took part.

The Liverpool Governors’ Forum was formed to represent the views of member governing bodies from Liverpool schools.

As your representative body we will:

· liaise with all bodies connected with education, both locally and nationally;

· provide a forum for discussion and mutual assistance;

· promote best practice in fulfilling statutory and other responsibilities with sensitivity;

· raise awareness of educational issues;

· provide a basis for pursuing common ideals and objectives.

The “Message Board” link in the menu on the left will enable you to initiate or take part in discussions on any topic of current interest to your governing body, or to seek the help of your committee or colleagues in other schools.

Please note that all committee meetings are open to all members. Currently they are held at Broughton Hall High School. The date and time of the next meeting will always be listed on the Website “Meetings” page at least three weeks in advance.

We are pleased to provide space on our website for the Black and other Racial Minorities Governors' Forum. You can visit their part of the site by clicking on their title in the menu on the left. Over the coming weeks more information will be added as the site is developed. We hope to be working closely with the BRM Governors' Forum to ensure that LGF is a truly representative body.
