30th September  2005: Finally some very exciting Enya news to report. I know it been a long time coming but Enya has been locked away in the studio of lat working on the follow up to A Day Without Rain. It has just been announced on the official forum by Roma Ryan that the new album and single will be titled "Amarantine" The single is due to be released sometime mid November and the album at the end of November.    25th March 2002:      Enya missed out on an Academy award for her song May It Be after she
                                  was beaten to it by Randy Newman with the song from Monsters Inc. She
                                  was also up against Faith Hill, Sting and Paul McCartney. As Sting commented on
                                  the night there where no losers as they did well to get that far. Enya arrived
                                  wearing a stunning red dress from designers Oak from Dublin and a silver/blue
                                  outfit while giving a great live performance of her song as part of a medley by
                                  the nominated artists. These outfits where created especially for her. One was
                                  also made for Roma Ryan who also attended the show with husband Nicky
                                  Ryan.

 
  21st March 2002:      This month sees the continuing success of Enya's career. After picking up 
                                  three World Music Awards consisting of best selling Irish artist, best selling
                                  New Age artist and worlds best selling female artist Enya will perform live at
                                  the Oscars Sunday 24th March. Enya will perform May It Be from The Lord
                                  Of The Rings Soundtrack this song is also nominated for an Oscar award.
                                  Fans in the UK can catch the awards live on BBC2 from 12.45pm with
                                  highlights on Monday on BBC1. Good luck to Enya for the Oscars.

                                  This week also sees the return of an Official Site for Enya. This new site is
                                  run by the people behind the old Enya fansite shepherdmoons.net. Her new
                                  site has been given a whole new look and layout and the forum is back up and
                                  running. I have gotten to know many nice fans through the original forum
                                  and many a great discussion was had by all on every Enya topic. So if want to

   02 March 2002:         Congratulations to Enya for picking up another Grammy for her album
                                   A Day Without Rain at this years awards. Enya won the award for Best
                                   New Age Album. Her latest offering A Day Without Rain has exceeded 6.2
                                   million sales in the US where it has been certified six times platinum.

 
   19th January 2002:    
      New Enya Uk Single Release 21st Jan 2002 
                                             A new single is released from Enya Monday 21st Jan in the UK. May It Be
                                    taken from the Lord Of The Rings soundtrack will be out on cassette and 3 trk
                                    cd including the tracks Isobella and The First Of Autumn. May It Be has been
                                    nominated for a Golden Globe Award and Enya, Nicky and Roma will attend
                                    the awards ceremony this week Good Luck to Enya. The soundtrack to Lotr
                                    has been heavily advertised on TV and the film is doing well currently at no.1 at
                                    the UK box office with the movie also featuring the song Aniron by Enya.

                                    Enya is making full use of her visit to America and will be making numerous TV
                                    appearances including Larry King Live details of which are available at
                                    www.shepherdmoons.net This long running fan site is currently being
                                    overhauled due to the fact that it is now taking over as official site for Enya.
                                    The company in charge of her forum went out of business and it has been down
                                    for some months. Enya Nicky and Roma are discussing the idea of having
                                    online chats through the new website watch this space. Finally if you've been
                                    hanging out for the Enya collection dvd in the states Nicky Ryan reports it will
                                    get a 2002 release and may also have the May It Be video included.


   02 November 2001:    The Enya dvd was finally released in the UK this week Monday the 29th
                                    October. It is officially called Enya the video collection. Surprisingly
                                    the UK Vhs video release also has the documentary "A Life In Music"
                                    an extra usually reserved for a dvd.
                                    The song from the Lord Of The Rings Soundtrack is now May It Be and
                                    not Here Comes Desire as first titled which goes to show how often original
                                    song titles can often change. The good news is this song will be a single.
                                    A video will accompany the song. Enya has being experiencing a massive
                                    surge in the popularity in the U.S in recent weeks.

   26th September 2001: Great news for Enya fans is that the rumor regarding the new
                                    Lord Of The Rings movie has been confirmed and she has submitted
                                    to brand new tracks for the soundtrack. These are called " Here Comes
                                    Desire" and "Aniron" (The Theme For Aragorn) there are also reports
                                    that a new video of one of the songs will appear on a movie special on
                                    Fox TV on the Nov 29 this is not yet confirmed but is interesting news
                                    indeed.

   11 September 2001: The date of the new Dvd/Video has now been finalized and it will now hit
                                  the shops on the 29th October 2001. Although fans may be disappointed
                                  the release will not include Enya's rare videos of Marble Halls and I
                                  Want Tomorrow. The UK version will have the video for How Can I Keep
                                  From Singing which fans also hoped would be included. The dvd will also
                                  include a 15 min biography titled "A Life In Music" and the making of
                                  Caribbean Blue and Only Time videos. Subtitle lyrics will also feature with
                                  the disc recorded in linear pcm stereo. The track list for the UK is as follows.

    26 July 2001: The long awaited Enya Dvd\Vhs is to be released in the UK on 17th Sep and the 18th
                        Sep in the u.s. It is to be titled The Enya Collection and it is hoped that this will
                        include all Enya's videos to date. Release dates can change and more info will be
                        posted if this happens.
  

    16 July 2001:        Enya has now sold over 44 million albums worldwide and this year picked up
                                two World music Awards for best Irish artist and best New Age artist. She
                                intends to do a live concert or tour maybe at the end of this year saying that
                                the problem is converting her music to live performance she welcomes the
                                experience but says she will probably need an orchestra and choir for the
                                tour. This would be her first tour as a solo performer away from Clannad
                                and alternatively it may be made into a tv special.

                                The movie Sweet November starring Keanu Reeves was finally released to
                                uk cinemas this weekend and features Enya's track Only Time as the Title
                                song. There is also a Sweet November version of the Enya video feat footage
                                from the movie.

                                The most interesting news to come out recently is the rumor that Enya is
                                going to be involved in the soundtrack for the forthcoming blockbuster
                                movie version of Lord Of The Rings. This may be a track written especially
                                for the film out in September. This would be a great coup for Enya. I will
                                        post more news on this subject when its confirmed.
