Inscription on Coat-of-Arms reads:

THE GIFT OF THOMAS MOULDEN
OF STATENBOROUGH HOUSE
IN THIS PARISH . 1821 .

 

The Eastry Wall Paintings and Calendar

The restored medallion or roundel wall paintings; there are 35 roundels, maybe one for each of the 35 possible dates easter can fall on? -not much seems to be known about these -can anyone help supply information? Photograph by Clifford James Jolly. (montage stiching by Nathan Fairweather).

 

The calendar carved into one of the pillars in the nave. Its purpose seems to be to calculate where Easter falls. Photograph by Clifford Jolly.
