AUST15

Payneham Cemetery

nr. Adelaide

South Australia.

Cast iron marker thought at first to be typical Etna design. Stove enamelled Date and maker unknown but see AUST16. Below:-

IN LOVING MEMORY OF RALPH STEPHENS AGED 2 YEARS. JULIA BAILEY 85.
AMELIA STEPHENS 32. JULIA STEPHENS 67. ELIZABETH STEPHENS 71.

Now under the control of the Payneham and Dudley Park Cemetery Trust.

This is possibly a copy (using an original to provide a pattern) of an Etna Pattern from the Gorbals in Glasgow, Scotland. This is a very rare example and it is in very good condition due to it being Stove Enamelled. Date unknown.
