Garlic Bread |
|
Serves 8
· 100g (4oz) very low-fat spread (maximum 5% fat) · 4 garlic cloves, crushed · 1 teaspoon lemon juice · 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley · 1 French stick · salt
If you require a small quantity of garlic bread, then adjust the recipe accordingly and use the spread sparingly
Preheat the oven to 220°C, 425°F, gas mark 7. Mix the very low-fat spread with the garlic, lemon juice and parsley. Cut the loaf into 2cm (¾in) slices, diagonally across the loaf. Spread each slice with the garlic mixture, re-form the loaf and sprinkle a little salt across the top. Wrap in foil and place in the oven for 10 minutes.
Serve immediately. |
