Autobuy International (Autobuy UK)

and the problems I had with them.

This is a long one but a lesson to all of us.........

They delivered a car which they said was a grade 4.5 to me which had the
following initial faults.

1:
They said it would take about 10 weeks. Nearly 15 weeks later it arrived.

2:
Once arrived it took them 2 weeks to get all the paperwork done and MOT.

3:
The delivery chap smashed the front spoiler (Veilside) into the low loader
as the car was too low to get onto the lorry. Because of this the car was
delivered by hand. This was not what was agreed; driven over from Wales by
two young lads who probably cained it all the way.

4:
Because of the accident the car arrived 9pm on a Friday and I had taken the
day off as it was originally arriving at 12pm.

5:
It was pitch black and thus I couldn't inspect the car properly and it was
covered in road grime.

6:
They did mention the smash and I noted what I could see on the delivery
note.

7:
Upon further inspection in the morning sunlight I noticed various dents and
scratches in the doors and wings.

8:
There was also a great slash in the passenger side inner door panel and the
leather on the steering wheel was very badly worn. (More than the 30,000
miles it said it had on the clock)

9:
Cigarette burns in the seats and fag ash in the ash trays.

10:
There were no tools and the little cloth boot cover was missing.

11:
I telephoned them and they said that basically tough. That's how all the
cars are and I had got a bargain.
They did say that they would repair the broken spoiler.

12:
I said I didn't want a repair I wanted a completely new bodykit as it was
all knackered. NO was the reply. We will sent it to our experts and get the
repair done properly.

13: Months later I finally got them to take the car back and repair the
spoiler which by now was beginning to become very loose.

14:
They had the car for two weeks before the delivered it back. Two week I
though.......ummmmm! it must be a pretty good job then.

15:
I could have done better in 1hour and a pot of Isopon P50 (??don't quote me
on the number please). It was an appalling repair. They had even sprayed it
with normal cellulose paint and they could even get an even coating. Some
bits had paint runs and others you could still see the old filler
underneath.

16:
To cap it all upon delivery they had driven the car straight into a curb and
smashed the spoiler again. Ahhh! Dim wits.

17:
I couldn't believe my eyes. What an appalling condition the car was
returned. The drivers side wing now had scuff marks on it where it appeared
someone had leant over the bonnet for a look around and rubbed all the road
grit and shit all over my wing using it like an abrasive.

18:
The car now had even more dents than those it went away with and the inside
was filthy. There was popcorn in the drivers bay and twigs and mud in the
boot. Looked like someone had used it for a trip to the tip!!!

19:
I was absolutely furious. To top it all the double din stereo unit didn't
work and the speedo was not converted to read MPH

Anyway to cut a long story slightly shorter months passed with telephone
calls and faxes and advice from solicitors. They would not budge and kept
changing address and telephone numbers so I lost contact.

I you can give me any details you have I would be very grateful because they
still owe me a Veilside bodykit and a double din stereo unit.

Other members would vouch for the condition of the repair. It was laughable.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANYONE EVER HAVE DEALINGS WITH

If I can get some info on there current whereabouts then I will be
prosecuting them through the county court.

A LESSON LEARNT! It nearly cost me my marriage. The stress was enormous!
