Cruise Control

My workshop manual (electrical) says that the cruise has the following operating range.

40KPH (25MPH) to 200KPH (124MPH)

Now that doesn't seem to stack up with what people I talk to are saying? Max limit of 70mph etc etc...This is pending actual testing by me to make sure.
