TDR stands forTeam Dwarf Racing and is a small tuning and repair business based on our experience of tuning extreme drag-racing scooters and the developments we`ve made since starting.
Obviously some of these developments are far too radical for everyday road use but it does give us and idea of where the limits are drawn between power and reliability.
We work on an individuals requirements, whether it`s a simple de-restriction or a complete tuning package, and as such can`t
specify set prices on this site but suffice it to say we are extemely competitive on priceing and pride ourselves on personal service.
Of course we don`t just offer tuning as we can supply parts from all the major performance manufacturers including Hebo/Malossi/Polini/Athena/Yasuni/PM Tuning /Airsal/Top Racing/ etc. to order
as well as the more mundane needs such as tyres/brake pads/shoes etc.
If you have a requirement or simply need advice we`re happy to help
.

Red Dwarf is currently the fastest Class 1 automatic scooter in the UK* with the latest time from Santa Pod Raceway being 12.75 seconds at 99.14mph and with further development the times will go down as the speed increases. *(source: X-race results till present).
Congratulations to Dave on Red Dwarf for winning the 2006 X-race Class 1 series in the 12.3 second bracket.
Project Hebo
Originaly a MBK Booster Rocket that came to us in a state as a MOT failure so we decided to strip it down to the bare frame and start again.
The engine subframe has been stretched 3" and the front now sports Yamaha Aerox forks, the bike has a number of one-off features including the grab rail, rear hugger and speedo mount as well as the custom spray job but most of the work has been done in the engine department
.
It has a Hebo race crank, Polini 70cc kit, Hebo big valve reedblock conversion running with a 21mm Delorto PHBG carb and Hebo foam filter, Hebo variator kit /outer pulley and belt and a PM Tuning exhaust.
The steering stem and downhill style bars are again from Hebo and the instruments consist of small warning lights for oil/indicators/high beam and a digital speedometer from Koso.
Project Con-air
Currently a work in progress but the idea is to put a race spec Gilera Runner 125 engine in a Yamaha Aerox frame and bodywork and still keep it looking like a street Aerox 50.
As it stands at the moment in these pictures most of the hard work has been done, the frame has been modified to fit the engine and the rolling chassis is complete.
The engine work consists of a Mazzuchelli Race crank (std 52mm stroke) with a Malossi 172cc big bore kit, it`s running a ported reedblock with a one-off manifold and a Koso PWK 32mm flatslide carb
and an almost finished race exhaust of our own construction.
Updates to follow as work continues.
It`s alive! the pipe is finished with a PM end can, the wiring finished, the carb and oil/fuel feed sorted and a stem conversion installed with the widest set of Rethals ever seen on a scoot! The chargeing system is good and all that remains is to install the bodywork and run it in.
It`s been tested and found to be extremely mental vergeing on the dangerous :-) it wheelies virtually as soon as you come off tickover and it`s anyones guess as to the top speed as it depends if you can keep the front end down long enough. It`s honestly one of the most fun/potent road scoots I`ve ever seen.
The final shots of it basically finished. It needs a rear brake caliper and bar grips as well as the obvious things like a number plate but this is the end result.
An update on the times and speeds for Red Dwarf:
The previous time out we succeded in breaking the Ton at the FIA Drag Strip Santa Pod with a terminal speed of 100.21mph.
This was backed up a week later on 01/04/07 in similar conditions with three runs over the Ton: 100.31/100.66 and the final run of the day of 101.35mph with times in the 12.6 second area.
Our next aim is to beat the unofficial world record held by PM Tuning of 104.68mph (subject to confirmation of their fastest ever terminal on the 1/4 mile)
