| Home | Just the dust were formed in 1992
based on the long standing musical partnership of Pete Cooke and
Pete Kenny. They both come from the same small Northamptonshire shoe town and met in 1974 when Sundays were long, Wizzard played at the Granada Cinema and the world was still young. There was also something called the Labour Party in government which shortly afterwards paid them to go to University on something called a full grant, given to working class youngsters like them. It seemed like every corner had a shoe or box factory on it, some with brass bands and social clubs. Young people were advised that a "trade" in one of these factories would stand them in good stead. You could be an "overlocker" or "skiver", or you could be one of the towns few weirdos! In many ways the early 50s were still alive and well and looser folk stuck together. |
