Ad-Aware 6 Even though you may have a firewall, and antivirus loaded, there is still web activity that can disrupt your PC’s speed and functions. The problem is these often go undetected, because a) you probably allowed it through your firewall as a recognised application, and b) theyre not technically malicious so not detected by virus checkers. What they do become is a nuisance, killing your PC’s resources, taking up disk space, messing with applications settings and generally flooding your system for the purpose of i) Advertising, or ii) Spying on your application use habits. WINZIP There are times when you download files from the internet. When you do you will most probably find they have been compressed to speed up the download process. Winzip is an easy to use application that decompresses these ZIP files so you can run them as normal. Load this on your PC and forget about it, then any time a ZIP file is opened so does Winzip!
