Title Case and Small Capitals

Overview

In Open Office these are character attributes that don’t modify the underlying text. If you apply these attributes to lowercase text, then copy the text to the Windows clipboard, it will still be lowercase text when posted into other applications like Notepad.

Title Case

From the Format menu, select Character, and switch to the Font Effects tab. In the effects drop list, choose “Title.”

Small Caps

From the Format menu, select Character, and switch to the Font Effects tab. In the effects drop list, choose “Small capitals.”

Since both Title Case and Small Capitals use character attributes, rather than actually replacing the typed text, there is no option not to capitalise prepositions as there is in other word-processors.
