Examples of suitable kit

 

Please note these are just examples of clothing people already own, the regiment have a selection of spares for you to use when first starting. When you start aquiring your own costume there are people who will assist in making the right choise of style.

Male

Highland. Expected items are Brouges (or suitable shoes), stockings, Plaid, Shirt, Waistcoat, Jacket and bonnet. Equipment consists of Cartridge bag and Musket.
   
Lowland/English. Expected items are Buckle shoes, stockings, Breaches, Shirt, Waistcoat, Jacket (frockcoat for english, lowland may have shortcoat), Hat. Equipment consists of Cartridge bag and Musket.

Uniformed troops are dressed to certain regulations and you will require advice before aquiring

Female

The normal highland women would only wear shoes in church, but due to modern conditions (i.e. broken glass, dog excrement, etc) brogues or suitable shoes are expected.

Expected kit consists of shoes, stockings, shift, under skirt, skirt, stays, jacket, arisaidh and kirch or suitable head covering

English kit is more complicated unless you have an idea of what class you wish to potray.

For a more middle class hoops are added with the skirts cut to suit the hoops.

For higher class the jacket may be replaced with a robe l'anglaise. This would be worn with even larger hoops.
