Claire Wheatley - Lead Vocals

Hey all, I’m Claire The lead singer for Paradox. I have been singing and dancing for many years and have based my life on performing.

I have previously studied a B-Tec National Diploma in performing arts at New College Swindon where I now teach dance classes. I am also currently studying at Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom.

My main influences would have to be Deborah Harry (Blondie), Gwen Stefani (No Doubt, Solo).

Gary Cleaver - Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals

I have been playing bass for the last ten years, in this time I have attended the highly acclaimed Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford Surrey, where I gained a HND in bass guitar. I now use this extra knowledge to teach 1st diploma bass at The Academy of Music and Sound in Swindon.

As a bass player I would have to say my main influences would have to be, Marcus Miller, James Jamerson, Jaco Pastorius, Victor Wooten, Nathan Watts, and many more. However, during my time at the ACM I got the chance to meet and gain knowledge of my instrument from some of the world’s greatest players. Such as: Stu Hamm (Steve Vai, Joe Satriana) Reggie Hamilton (Seal, Universal films) Guy Pratt (Madonna, Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd)

Christopher O'Leary - Guitar, Backing Vocals

Hello, I’m the resident lead guitarist for Paradox. I’ve been playing guitar for longer than I care to remember and music is my life. I have also studied for two years at The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford.

I also teach at The Academy of Music and Sound in Swindon and have qualifications in Music Technology and if I’m not performing or teaching I produce music in the studio.

Being a guitarist I’m in to all styles of music (Jazz, Classical, Rock , Pop Etc) but my influences come from some of the guitar greats Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Eddie Van Halen to name a few.

Richard Cleaver - Drums

Hello all, I take my place at the back of the stage playing Drums live in Paradox. I have been playing drums live in various bands for over 10 yrs now. Music is a passion of mine and I love playing live and entertaining.

During My musical career I have played live on BBC radio performed on television, various sessions and studio work.

My musical experiance and influences come from Paul Martin (Session musician), Phil Gould (Level 42), Abe Laboriel, Jr (Paul McCartney) and my musical taste varies from the classic drum and bass grooves of the disco and soul hits to the present day lively indie rock and pop scene.
