Sleep. Something which takes up a huge amount of our lives, and something which releases us from the stress of reality. But what if we are denied sleep? Well this is the theme that Blake Neale’s short film thrives on, dealing with a character as he is disturbed from his long earned rest. Dripping taps and ticking clocks all prevent him from falling asleep to the extent that he is driven into a state of mental instability. So much so that when the postman comes knocking he finally snaps; driven into a fit of rage he viciously murders him.

This masterful film takes on a very dark and sinister atmosphere throughout accompanied by an eerie soundtrack, which makes an excellent and enjoyable short film. When director Blake Neale finally let me watch it, it was certainly worth the wait. -CHRIS TIDMARSH
