The longer version:
I've been redesigning the site behind-the-scenes for the last two weeks. It was getting silly updating this site knowing that it was soon to be put to rest, so on 04-Jun-04 I ended it and just didn't announce it officially.

My way in thinking was that if I uploaded the new site at the beginning of July - when I said I was going to resume updating - the changeover would've been instantaneous for you lot, creating a sort of Back to the Future type time effect but without a Delorean.

That said, this page is not going to be uploaded until the beginning of July either, but I've typed this long-winded message out now (as opposed to nearer the relaunch) for two reasons. Firstly, because it needed to be done at some point. And secondly, because I couldn't be bothered to clear off my bed to go to sleep.

Obviously reporting on my progress with the redesign would be somewhat redundant (for reasons previously stated) but I feel obliged to assure you that everything is going tickety boo. In fact, I'm particularly happy with it as I've got rid of all the things that I hated about this version, and added loads of new bits here and there, which will no doubt annoy me further down the line.

Various sections of this version have been removed to save on webspace, though. As it is, the main reason I am keen on keeping this version online at all is because of the Red Dwarf updates. But a fair deal of the other bits are likely to feature on the new site anyway.

OK, I'm going to go now. Be sure to look at the relaunched site, although you probably already have to have got here. Hmmm. I dunno. Anyway, that's it. Smeg off!
