What came first? The chicken or the egg? Scuby or Scubysnaps? I don´t know about the chicken, but Scubysnaps came first! I thought of the name 3 years ago in the Maldives 2005, I hope Hanna Barbera doesn´t read this! It took me 2 years to bring the name to a site like this, and Scuby only appeared on the scene August 2008, a great companion to aid my exit from UK dive sites, he carries my mask, or is supposed to, if he doesn´t eat it!
I´ve been diving locations abroad since 1999 and bought my first underwater camera in 2002. I started UK diving in May 2008 to increase my awareness, and try and improve my bottom time and photography.
Locations I have been to are:
In the UK I dive with either Dive Connections & Wightdivers from Pompey, Fathom and Blues from Portland, or Wittering Divers from East Wittering
I prefer the Indian Ocean and try to explore that region wherever possible, and hope one day to get as far as the Pacific....later this year I am booked to go to Manado!!
Early 2008 I bought the Canon G9 with the Ikelite housing and DS125 flash, I also have a wide angle lens and more recently a macro lens.
I have recently been teaching myself photoshop and website building, I just wish there were more days in the week!
