In the name of God Amen the third day of January in the year of our Lord God One thousand six hundred sixty seven I Roger Chambers of Swaffham Prior in the county of Cambridge and dyocese of Ely yeoman being sick in body but of perfect minde and remembrance thanks be given to God therefore, do make constitute and appoint this my last will and testament in manner and forme following Ffirst I bequeath my soule unto the hands of almighty God my maker hoping through the meritts of Jesus Christ to receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and my body I comitt it to the earth to be buried in the church yard of Swaffham Prior in right decent and Christian buriall And all my worldly goods ? and chattles I give and bequeath as followeth IMPRIMUS I give and bequeath unto Margarett my beloved wife my three messuages and tenement in which I dwell with all and singular thapytenures thereunto belonging for during the terme of her naturall life and my three acres and one road of ffree land which I bought of Robert Chambers for and during her naturall life And after her deafe I give my said messuages and tenement and my three acres and one road of ffree to my sonne William Chambers for and during the terme of his naturall life and after his deafe to William Chambers my grandsonne and his heirs for ever. ITEM I give and bequeath unto my daughter Margarett Rolfe one acres of ffree land bought of William Cambridge for and during the terme of her naturall life nd after her deafe to Nicholas Rolfe my grandsonne and his heirs for ever ITEM I give unto Margarett Rolfe my grand daughter two acres of coppyhold land belonging to the Hall Mannor one acre abut the ditch neere Burwell way. And halfe an acre throu two furlonge in the middle ffield in the Red Land a butte on the last two, the north road abutt Ditchwrong. ITEM I give and bequeath unto Jane Rolfe my grand daughter three acres of copyhold land belonging to the Hall Mannor One acre in the middle field between Bulkes neere Souben ffurlong neere one Houdland Road upon the Chokoir and one Road between the land of Mr Stolten in the same ffurlongs One halfe acre in the bottom of the sond ffield by one acre of Mr Stoffond in Ditchfield halfe an acre West Road abutt Maulden way by ffowow ? land One road lyeth long way by bason by half acre of Roger Rant esq - And our road ? abutting ? Doroheuso Close a buttwe on the last side. ITEM I give unto Mary Chambers my grand daughter my coppyhold tenement belonging to the Hall mannor and to her heirs forever. ITEM I give and bequeath unto my daughter Margarett Rolfe and her heirs all my copyhold land belonging to the mannor of Shadworth (that is to say) halfe an acre long way by bason by three acres balfo of srall land east halfe a Road by Portstoolo halfe an acre abut the ditch neere cheeves path one Road on Gallow Hill by three halfe acres of William Sparman, halfe an acre over Mourfett way and halfe an acre a furlonge of the south by a road of Ffrancis Waters. In middle ffield halfe an acre upon Stony Hill and halfe an acre in the next ffurlonge to that which go over Marlett Way and halfe an acre over marlett Way by ? an acre of Thomas Miller on the west and ffive roads between bulbos in the mill furlonge abutt the bartside In the Dale ffield halfe a road abutt Dove House close by halfe a road of Mr Stotton halfe an acre abutt the Dale, halfe an acre of Cambridge Way and one road abutt Swaffham Bulbeck field by a throu Road of Mary Ffuller north. ITEM I give unto my grand children William Chambers and Mary Chambers and Sarah Chambers and John Rolfe and Nicholas Rolfe and Margarett Rolfe and Jane Rolfe tenn pounds a yeare to be paid when they shall attaine to their fewall age of one and twenty years. All the rest of my goods cattles and chattles not bequeathed I give and bequeath unto Margarett Chambers my beloved wife whom I make sole executrix of this my last will and tenement paying my debts and funerall charges.
