In the name of God Amen the VIth day of May in the 8th year of the reign of our sovereign Lord George by the grace of God of Great Britain, France and Ireland and King Defeneder of the faith: in the year of our most blessed Lord and Saviour's Incarnation 1722 years I Thomas Chambers of the parish of Swaffham Prior in the county of Cambridge yeoman being of perfect sound mind and memory as at any other time in my life blessed be God for it but being weak an infirm in body and considering my own frailty and the uncertainty of a humane life I make and ordain this to be my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills and testaments whatsoever First and above all I give and bequeath my soule to almighty God my great creator and preserver of my being hopeing for the salvation thereof through the blood and flesh of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ my only saviour and redeemer and my body to be decently buried at the discression of my executrix herein after named And as to my worldly goods which it hath pleased Almighty God the giver of all good things to bestow upon me I give and bequeath them as followeth IMPRIMUS I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Susanah Chambers all my lands tenements and hereditenaments houses homesteads outhouses yards and orchards whatsoever whither copyhold or freehold with all the rights and privilidges applining thereunto belonging to her my said beloved wife Susanah during the term of her natural life and after her deaafe to my brother Robert Chambers during the term of his natural life only and after the deaafe of my said brother Robert Chambers my will and meaning is that all my lands and tenemnets and hereditenaments houses homesteads outhouses gardens yards orchrds whatsoever and wheresoever with all the rights and privilidges thereunto belonging shall be to the only use and sole behoofe of my much respected kinsman Den Drury of the parish of Swaffham prior aforesaid and county of Cambridge aforesaid and his heirs and assignes for ever ITEM I give and devise unto my brother Robert Chambers the sum of two shillings and six pence to be paid him by my executrix ITEM all the rest of my goods and chattely personal estates and credits whatsoever and wheresoever I give and devise them wholey and absolutely to my beloved wife Susanah aforesaid she paying my debts and legacies and funerall charges and her my said beloved wife Susanah I make and ordain and appoint whole and sole executrix of this my last will and testament In witness hereof I have set my hand and seal the day and year first above written. The mark of Thomas Chambers subscribed sealed and decalred by the testator to be the last will and testament in the presence of Abraham Killingbeck Thomas Livermore William Harknell Witnesses
